This is a randomized controlled trial with compromised randomization. Only families that received two or more home visits were considered part of the home visiting intervention group. Families with fewer visits were considered part of the comparison group. In addition, the manuscript notes that some program sites had a 50 percent chance of being assigned to the intervention group, and others had a higher chance (66 percent). The program sites therefore had different probabilities of assignment over time, which requires an adjustment in the analysis. The analysis does not include this adjustment. Information to demonstrate equivalence of the intervention and comparison groups was based on correspondence with the author.
