Outcomes were assessed when all infants were 6 months of age, although study participants were assigned to the intervention and comparison groups in non-overlapping time periods: in the comparison group, babies were born between February and July of 2014 and in the intervention group, between September of 2014 and December of 2015. The non-overlapping time periods constitute a confounding factor.
